My name is Aleka, known here as NatuallyACT! Naturally ACT translates into Naturally Aleka C. Thrash. I’m a Photographer, Natural Hair Enthusiast, Blogger, and Vlogger! My hobbies include reading, graphic design, and painting.

I started my natural hair journey in 2005 and spent years learning, researching, trying products, and even helping fellow naturals learn how to better take care of their hair. I originally wanted to start sharing my journey in 2008 however let fear keep me from sharing my experiences except for on my Facebook page. On March 21, 2015, I had the opportunity to teach a natural hair segment at Confident Living. A seminar dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs to get unstuck and unlock their dreams. My segment at Confident Living was so well received that I decided to launch my own Natural Hair ~ How-to workshops and events.

I’m looking forward to sharing my journey and getting to know you!

What People Say

The Natural Hair workshop was AMAZING and very informative!!! I learned quite a bit, but one of the biggest things I learned is that going natural is very doable. Prior to going to the workshop, the idea of going natural was intimidating (it still is…but not nearly as much).

I’m definitely going to Aleka’s other workshops…and I highly recommend that anyone else looking to go natural go as well!!!

The natural hair workshop was an amazing experience. As someone who has been natural for nearly a year I came completely optimistic about the quality of information I would take away from the workshop. I found most beneficial the product display and live demonstration of “how to”. Although we all have different types of hair I felt that this workshop provided maintenance tips and and promoted overall hair health.

I will definitely attend the second session!
